I’m a British documentary director making bold, cinematic films for UK and international broadcasters — driven by a fascination with untold stories, remote worlds and the people who inhabit them. My work takes me to the edges: from the Siberian Arctic and the Amazon rainforest to the streets of Caracas and Gaza. I’m drawn to places and communities rarely seen on screen, capturing life at its most extreme with a focus on strong characters and visually ambitious storytelling. Alongside this, I take on complex, large-scale narratives exploring countries and cultures often misunderstood — including landmark series on Russia and China.
At the heart of my filmmaking is a commitment to telling stories that matter — from environmental crises to the experiences of marginalised communities — always through human, character-led storytelling that connects with wide audiences. I’ve worked closely with traditional societies around the world, including the Kogui in Colombia, the Bayaka in the Congo and the Maasai in Kenya, and I strive to represent these cultures with honesty, depth and respect.
Recent work includes Murder in Mayfair (BBC / TV2 Norway), shortlisted for the 2023 Association of International Broadcasters Awards, and two major adventure series for Channel 5 exploring the Congo and China.
